The following park passes allow pass holders and up to three other adults to enter Muir Woods free of charge. These passes can be purchased online or upon arrival at the Muir Woods Visitor Center. Confirmation letters, credit card receipts, and photos of passes are NOT accepted for entry.

America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Pass

• Up to $80 for entry to all national parks and federal recreational lands for 1 year. Lifetime passes also available for seniors, veterans, and Gold Star families.
• If you purchase physical passes online using the link above, please allow sufficient time for delivery. Digital passes are currently not available.
• Seniors, active duty military and dependents, veterans, Gold Star families, individuals with a permanent disability, and 4th graders may be eligible for free or discounted passes.

Muir Woods Annual Pass

• $45 for entry to Muir Woods only for 1 year. If you plan to visit other national parks, consider purchasing an America the Beautiful pass.
• Purchase a digital pass using the link above or a physical pass upon arrival.

Fee Free Days

All national parks will waive the entrance fee on the following dates:

January 15, 2024 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
April 20, 2024 - Start of National Park Week
June 19, 2024 - Juneteenth
August 04, 2024 - Great American Outdoors Day
September 28, 2024 - National Public Lands Day
November 11, 2024 - Veterans Day

When you might NOT want to pay in advance:

• You or someone in your group has a valid annual or lifetime pass or plans to purchase one upon arrival.
• You plan to arrive on a Fee Free Day.
