Park Entrance Fees
Pre-purchase entrance fees for each adult to minimize waiting times. DO NOT pre-purchase if your group can cover all adults with valid annual or lifetime passes or intends to purchase them upon arrival (scroll down for more information).

Annual and Lifetime Passes
The following park passes allow the pass holder and up to 3 additional adults to enter Muir Woods free of charge. Purchase your pass upon arrival at the Muir Woods Visitor Center, at
other federal recreation sites, or through the external websites linked below. Confirmation letters, credit card receipts, and photos of passes are NOT accepted for entry.
America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Pass
- Up to $80 for entry to all national parks and federal recreational lands for 1 year ($250 for Non-Resident pass starting in 2026).
- Seniors, active-duty military and dependents, veterans, Gold Star families, individuals with a permanent disability, and 4th graders may be eligible for free, discounted, or lifetime passes.

Muir Woods Annual Pass
- $45 for entry to Muir Woods only for 1 year (U.S. residents and citizens only starting in 2026). If you plan to visit other national parks, consider purchasing an America the Beautiful pass.

All national parks will waive entrance fees for U.S. citizens and residents on the following dates.
February 16, 2026 - Presidents Day (Washington's Birthday)
April 18, 2026 - National Junior Ranger Day
May 25, 2026 - Memorial Day
June 14, 2026 - Flag Day/President Trump's Birthday
July 03, 2026 - Independence Day Weekend
July 04, 2026 - Independence Day Weekend
July 05, 2026 - Independence Day Weekend
August 25, 2026 - 110th Birthday of the National Park Service
September 17, 2026 - Constitution Day
October 27, 2026 - Theodore Roosevelt's Birthday
November 11, 2026 - Veterans Day
When you might NOT want to pay in advance:
- You or someone in your group has a valid annual or lifetime pass or plans to purchase one upon arrival.
- You plan to arrive on a Fee Free Day.
